Publishing companies Burda Praha and Burda Media 2000 merged
On July 2nd 2014 the merger of Burda Praha spol. s r.o. and Burda Media 2000 s.r.o. came to force. The acquiring company becomes Burda Praha spol. s r.o.
The Burda Praha and Burda Media statutory authorities have agreed the merger in January this year and in early July this change has been added into the Commercial register i.e. becomes officially effective.
The merger closed also the topic of acquiring former company Hachette Filipacchi 2000 when Burda became the 100% owner in June 2011. Then Hachette Filipacchi 2000 was renamed Burda Media 2000 and continued publishing of significant lifestyle titles ELLE, Marianne, Maxim, Apetit and Marianne Bydlení now days already included into Burda Praha portfolio.
Petra Fundová becomes CEO of the acquiring company Burda Praha spol. s r.o., till now she was in charge of both companies (Burda Praha and Burda Media 2000). Petra Fundova comments: „This merger is a logical result of both companies bonding. All departments were continuously bonding since the take over of Hachette Filipacchi 2000 (Burda Media 2000) and merger was the last formal step. Till the end of the year the company will be moved together to one common seat.“
